Getting Started

Installation & Setup

1. Go to, "www.discord.com"

2.  Download client for your machine's operating system.

3. Install to your preferred location on your machine.

4. On the Login screen, log in to your account or create an account.

5. Open "User Settings". Click the gear icon on the bottom left of the client.

6. Go to "Voice & Video"

7. Set your input (microphone) and output (speakers) device to your preferred medium.

8. Set input mode to, "Push to Talk", then create a shortcut for this mode. DO NOT USE VOICE ACTIVITY

9. In the "Advanced" menu, turn OFF, "Hardware Acceleration" (This can sometimes reduce your framerate, especially on older machines).

10. Adjust other settings to your personal preferences.
     

Note: It is HIGHLY  recommended that you set up Two Factor Authentication. Settings for this can be found under, "My Account," then, "Enable Authenticator App."



 

Joining the Server
 

1. Visit, "www.prisedefer.org".

2. Scroll down to the purple Discord icon and click it. 

3. A popup will appear in your client. Click "Join Prise de Fer"

4. Accept and Acknowledge Server rules and conditions.

5. Select your server roles.
